• Demonstrate that you’ve done your homework on the recipient’s company
• Mention a common contact• Refer to a common LinkedIn group
• Comment on a LinkedIn group posting (theirs or someone else’s)• Discuss a common company, experience, or personal interest based on reading their profile
• Ask for an opinion
- Length: <99 words = 13% above average response rate
- Call to Action: Be Clear on next steps (Even if they decline, you will keep the credit)
- Add Calendly link
Timeline
- Initial Message Sent
- If NO response from candidate, Recruiter should send 2nd follow up 3 days after the initial reach out
- If NO response after 2nd follow up, Recruiter should send 3rd follow up 7-10 days after initial reach out
