Parties Responsible for Process

  • Middle Office > Consultant Support

Feature Overview

The rate card is a tab located in a Placement Record. The Rate Card houses all information as it relates to gross bill and pay rates and the rate types Consultants may select from when adding hours within BullHorn Time & Expense (PeopleNet).

A rate card is “required” on Contract & Contract to Hire Placements to allow both payroll and billing to be processed.

Add a Placement Rate Card

  • Open Placement

  • Go to Rate Card

  • Add Rate Card

  • Add the Rate Card Details

    • Complete/adjust the following fields:

Field Name

Input Guidance

Placement Rate Card Status

Active

Effective Date

The effective date is the date this rate card will become available for use when entering time. Ensure the date specified includes the weekending you are going to process if any changes are being made.

Earn Code

Earn Codes are the “allowed” codes to utilize when keying in time. By default all new consultants should have the following populated:

  • REG

  • OT (new line will be automatically created with REG)

  • DT (new line will be automatically created with REG)

Need to add an additional earn code? Add a New Version of the rate card.

I need a earn code that is not available within the Rate Card, who can help me? Complete the Request New Earn Code Form and submit to bullhorn@dewintergroup.com.

Multipliers

Multipliers should automatically populate and calculate. If multipliers need to be adjusted, please contact the Middle Office Team Lead for approval.

Pay Rates

When processing a new placement, the REG Pay Rate will be listed within the Pay Rate field of the Placement Edit field. This is the value you will carry into the Rate Card upon populating for the first time.

Bullhorn will automatically calculate the pay amount and bill amount based on the rate entered (X’s) times the markup percentage. Enter the rate per hour and the markup percentage and the bill rate will appear on your rate card.

Subsequent updates to these values should be done by:

  • Adding a New Rate Card (Consultant Support) as detailed on the bottom of the page.

  • Submitting a Rate Card Change Request (Field Personnel)

Bill Rates

When processing a new placement, the REG Bill Rate will be listed within the Bill Rate field of the Placement Edit field.
