There are several ways to filter reports within the BI Portal.

Filtering the Entire Report

Standard Reports

On BI Portal Standard Reports, the entire report can be filtered using the filter menu located on the left hand side of all reports. This filter applies to all tabs within the report. Timeframe filters will default to the current day, week, or month upon loading the report. Image PlaceholderImage Placeholder

Filtering a Page (or Tab) of the Report

Using the Filter Menu

In addition to having the ability to apply filters across all pages, you also have the ability to apply filters to all charts and graphs on any specific page, or tab.

Filtering Using Visuals

If the report has chart/graph visuals, these can also be used to refine metrics on any given page. For example, if there is a bar graph and you select the x axis label, it will filter data in other visuals on that page to isolate metrics/data specific to your selection.  Image Placeholder

Filtering a Visual

The last way in which you can further refine or filter reports, includes having the ability to filter specific chart or graph (aka visuals). In order to filter a visual, first click the visual. Upon clicking the visual you will see "Filters on this visual" appear in the filtering options.
